I heard this a few days ago at a store that was preparing their CD and LP stock for sale the coming Monday when it's set to be released. Having adored the original release I was pleased that the sleeve is slightly altered and the disc looks great compared to the original black CD on Roadrunner. My fear for the re-master was that they'd either tack on the bonus tracks on the end without doing proper EQ and "normalisation" or that they'd be integrated into the release and not be at home. Having heard it from beginning to end (I sang along in the shop pretending to browse - how sad) they bonus tracks seem right at home and look forward to giving the thing a decent blast on a real hifi when I pick up my LP on Monday.
Yeah please tell us how the new CD copmares to the old one, because I'm afraid it will mastered with even less dynamics and therefore will sound less good. How does the LP sound compared to the CD and maybe compared to the old LP?
